Product Description

Product Overview

The TFD807C is a portable industrial digital ultrasonic flaw detector designed to quickly, conveniently, and accurately detect, locate, evaluate, and diagnose various defects — including cracks, inclusions, and pores — in workpieces without causing damage. It is suitable for both laboratory and on-site engineering applications.

The instrument is widely used in manufacturing, iron and steel metallurgy, metal processing, chemical industry, and other fields requiring defect detection and quality control. It also supports online safety inspection and life assessment in aerospace, railway transportation, boilers and pressure vessels, and related industries.

Typical applications include locating and sizing hidden cracks, voids, disbonds, and similar discontinuities in welds, forgings, billets, axles, shafts, tanks, pressure vessels, turbines, and structural components.

Key Features
Core Architecture

The core hardware is built on an ARM + FPGA platform, and the software runs on a highly reliable multitasking operating system, significantly improving functionality, portability, durability, and reliability. The instrument uses a master-slave menu with shortcut keys and a digital rotary knob, and its lightweight design allows one-handed operation.

Display
  • Full-digital multi-color high-resolution (640×480 pixels) TFT LCD for detailed, user-friendly waveform display.
  • Four selectable operating interface styles to suit different environments.
  • Fast 60 Hz refresh rate captures subtle waveform changes.
  • LCD brightness is freely adjustable.
Construction
  • All-aluminum metal shell — strong, durable, and excellent electromagnetic shielding.
  • 360-degree rotating damping bracket and rubber sheath for ease of use.
  • Tempered glass panel — extremely hard, wear-resistant, and scratch-resistant.
Screenshot & PDF Flaw Detection Report
  • Real-time screenshots of all pages and flaw detection reports, saved as BMP images to a USB drive (color or grayscale selectable).
  • Export flaw detection reports as PDF files to a USB drive for easy archiving and printing.
  • All PDF content can be customized to user requirements.
  • BMP images and PDF files can be viewed on a computer or mobile phone.

  • All files can be stored, recalled, and cleared.
  • Channel settings and report files can be exported via USB drive; unlimited storage via USB memory.
Video Recorder
  • Records the test process and saves it as a video file, playable back through the instrument or dedicated software.
  • Supports up to 10 video files, each up to 5 minutes long.
  • Saving video files to a USB drive removes limits on number and duration.
  • Recording and replaying the testing process greatly aids future study and analysis of flaw detection.
  • Video playback supports pause, fast forward, fast rewind, and stop functions.
Functions
  • Auto calibration: Automated calibration of probe zero offset, probe angle (K value), and material velocity.
  • Flaw locating: Live display of sound-path, projection (surface distance), depth, and amplitude.
  • Flaw sizing: Automatic flaw sizing using AVG or DAC, speeding up reporting of defect acceptance or rejection.
  • Digital readout and trig function: Thickness/depth displayed digitally with a normal probe; surface distance and depth displayed directly when using an angle probe.
  • DAC/AVG: Curves are automatically generated, with sampling points that can be compensated and corrected. The curve automatically floats with gain, expands with detection distance, and moves with delay time. Displays the AVG curve of any aperture.
  • AWS D1.1: Selecting this standard reduces manual calculations and improves detection efficiency.
  • Curved surface correction.
  • Crack height measurement.
  • Gate magnify: Spreads the gate range over the entire screen width.
  • Video recording and playback.
  • Auto-gain function.
  • Envelope: Simultaneous display of live A-scan at 60 Hz update rate and the A-scan envelope.
  • Peak hold: Compare frozen peak waveforms to live A-scans to easily interpret test results.
  • Peak mark: Capture and mark the peak in real time.
  • Echo coding: Display 1–9 echo display areas in different colors to analyze defect position.
  • A-scan freeze: Display freeze holds waveform and test distance data.
  • B-scan display: Intuitively displays the defect shape of the workpiece for more intuitive detection results.
Real-Time Clock & Communication

Real-Time Clock: The instrument clock keeps running, tracking the time continuously.

Communication: Two high-speed USB 2.0 ports with two selectable USB modes — U-DISK and U-BRIDGE. In U-DISK mode, channel configuration files, flaw report files, screenshot images, and recorded videos can be saved to a USB drive. In U-BRIDGE mode, the instrument exchanges data with DataPro software.
